Here are some of the most Frequently Asked Questions we get from people organising a party.
We are thinking of hiring a disco as well as a band, do we need one?
It all depends on what you are looking for. Our 'disco' consists of professionally mixed hits from a variety of different eras. We find that they are perfect for getting your guests boogie-ing the night away before and after the bands have played. As this is one long continuous pre-mixed track, we do not talk between songs as a DJ might, and it is not possible to request songs. However, you may like to provide us with an iPOD/ MP3 player containing any additional songs you want playing, and we can put this on at some point during the 'disco' section.
Can you play songs that aren't normally in your set?
If you have a particular song in mind, by all means suggest it, but we cannot guarantee to be able to include it in the set. If we can't, you are more than welcome to provide us with an iPOD/MP3 player on the night of your event containing any songs you want playing during the evening and we will play it through our PA.
How long do you play for?
Between 8.00pm and 11.45pm we normally play around 2 to 3 hours of live music. After this time (depending on the package ordered) we will play our Mega Mix Disco as we pack away our equipment. This will take until approx 12.15am, at which point the PA will be turned off. If you require entertainment outside of these times, please contact us for a quote.
Some of our guests are in a band, can they play some songs?
We don't let other people use our instruments, however experienced they may be, but if a member of your party is a singer and wants to perform a song we will do our best to accompany them.
Can we choose the songs you play?
Once a booking is confirmed we will send you a complete list of all the songs we play. You can then choose a selection of your favourites to appear in the set. Sometimes it isn't appropriate to include all of your suggestions, but we will endeavour to include as many of them as possible.
What do you need when you get here?
All we need is power (preferably 4 wall sockets) and a space to set up in. Most venues are used to having live bands and will have a suitable space already planned. If you want to do some barn dancing you will need to ensure that there is sufficient space for it to take place. We recommend you inform the venue of your requirements as soon as you have decided what you would like.
Can we see you before we decide?
We play in a variety of different venues across the North of England and we will be pleased to suggest a suitable gig for you to come and see us in action.
Your costumes are cool, but we were hoping for a more 'formal' look.
Our look is one of the things that sets us apart from other bands. However, if you prefer something more formal, dinner suits for example, please get in touch and we can discuss an alternative.
Can you set up in the afternoon?
We can set up earlier if, for example, the wedding breakfast is immediately before the evening reception and there isn't time to set up after the wedding breakfast. However this will be subject to an additional fee by arrangement with the band.
We are interested, what now?
Get in touch with us via the booking/enquiry form and we will contact you with a quote. If you aren't sure of any of the details, leave them blank and fill in what you can. Once you've booked us we will contact you a month or so before your event just to check everything is OK and then we will see you on the night for a rip-roaring evening of live music and dancing.
If there is anything we haven't covered, please get in touch with us and we will do our best to help.
